I don’t consider myself a politician. In fact, for the better part of the last 25 years I never even considered running for office. I was content to run my insurance agency, and later manage my laundromat, and pursue the American dream.
However, as I saw government encroaching further and further on the rights of the taxpayer, I decided I had to do something.
In 2006, I was elected to the Michigan State House of Representatives after briefly serving on the Oakland County Commission. As a State Representative, I’ve voted to repeal the Michigan Business Tax, cosponsored legislation for a part-time legislature, and sponsored legislation to force the Michigan Department of Treasury to divest from Iran along with many other achievements.
My wife Lori and I live in Troy and have been active in the community including: the Kiwanis Club, the Rotary Club, Troy Community Coalition, Boys & Girls Club, and Deaf Community Advocacy Network.
